Where did you hear that? I'm 80% through the book and haven't read that yet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I googled it, and found this, is this the story? http://frontburner.dmagazine.com/20...kyle-killed-two-men-at-a-gas-station-in-2009/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't think there's any way to convince everyone a story like that is real without the tape. Regardless, there's no way to refute his confirmed service record and that proves the man to be a remarkable individual...that's enough for me. As for Jesse Ventura...I never cared for the guy personally. After hearing years worth of his conspiracy theories concerning Bush and 911...I wouldn't doubt a bit that someone like Kyle would smash his mouth. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often, they guy is a d-bag galore. Regardless, the movie is still good.
My office is 5 miles from where Jesse had his ranch in Maple Grove. Before he was elected he had a 911 for sale. Car not Gun, I called him and then went and looked at the car. What a D-Bag, that is all I have to say about that. No I didn't buy the car he thought it was worth $5000 more than book because he drove it and originally bought it from his good friend Arnold.
Yeah I have no respect for Ventura. I was just using that as an example of somehting that has been proven false. His proven service record is all I care about not the rest of the fluff.
Jesse submitted his legal bills to the judge for review. D-Bag flew his kid as a witness. Wanted to bill for the $100 luggage cost one way and over the weekend hotel for his son and the luggage cost back. Judge disallowed the expense. That is the kind of guy he is.
I watched the movie last night and read the book before hand. I disagree with some about the pistol at the end in a way. The were just playing cops and robbers in a way and Clint was trying to show that Chris had come full circle back to his charming self after the tours. I thought Bradley cooper nailed it, his best performance by far. I just can't believe the detail they went to in making this movie. The tattoo on his arm, their squad symbol (the skull), the way he wore the sleeve on his forearm for extra rounds, even the dip he had in so he could shoot. I'm quiet impressed. I hope no one makes Michael Moore like comments about Chris Kyle infront of me... I have a lot of respect for Chris and his family both on the field and off Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I've never played cops and robbers with real revolvers and I doubt kyle ever did either. We ,at least "I" understood what Eastwood was trying to relay in that he had come full circle, "I" just think it was dangerous and unrealistic. That doesn't take away from the fact it was a great movie and kyle is an American hero.
Yes true I don't believe that was a true story, I don't think that would have happened. The way some people described it I though he was going to have more seriousness like pointing to shoot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well this is going to be shocking but you can add Bill Maher to the idiot list for his comments about the movie. The guy has probably never loaded a gun as never served his country yet feels his opinion needs to be heard.
We need to remember that many have served and died for our country. There is a monument in front of the courthouse at our county seat which lists the names of all those from our county who died in service to our nation. Once when my husband had to be in court, I accompanied him. While there I stood at that monument and read each name out of respect. Sad to say, but they left room for more names.
As a movie it was ok, great story about how war effects family's and those who served I feel moved about this more then anything. Anyone remember the movie Saving private Ryan ? Much better
We have been watching "Vietnam in HD" on Netflix. I think it's a must see. And if you haven't seen it, you have to watch "We Were Soldiers." It covers one of the same incidents shown in "Vietnam in HD." It is incredibly moving.
