So we took the step towards perhaps disconnecting from cable provider again....we already utilize Netflix for probably 35-50% of our viewing and now with Amazon Fire TV + Prime Membership we are gonna see if we could cut more of our cable bill even more.

Anyone else have the Fire TV? Thoughts? For a factory refurbished one with the exact same warranty being a mere $79 I couldn't wonder anymore and got one on it's way to us.

Does the Amazon Fire have HBOGo yet? I know it didn't when it was first released.

The only streaming device that consistently has all the apps for everything is the Roku, which is why I went with it. No complaints so far.

The stick offered by them doesn't until this Spring I guess...my understanding is the box which we got does now have it. I weighed hard between the Roku and Fire...went with Fire because I think Amazon long term has the funds to purchase agreements with more and more programming/channels.

We got the Fire Stick for my daughter's TV for Christmas. I can't tell you too much about it now, but when I set it up for her then I was really impressed with it, and got the feeling that we were only scratching the surface of what it could do. It basically turned her "regular" TV into a "smart" TV, similar to the new one that we have in the family room.

Good deal...I'm hoping between it and Netflix to basically eliminate our cable bill....we already did away with the package that had ESPN so honestly I wouldn't miss any of the channels now that we have more than that one....probably spend slightly less time watching TV which is a good thing. Our household basically hops from TV show to TV show series and the combo seems like it'd be the answer.

Its got a bunch of apps on it, I think Netflix is one. I know Hula nd Crackle are on there. She watches most through Prime Video though.
