Thanks. I agree and understand. What percentage of the 47% do you think are somewhat taking advantage of a system that makes it easier to just take the handout? Yes you absolutely used it correctly. lol
Agreed. My home state of MN has such a wonderful welfare program that some people move there for that reason. It's disgusting. Moorhead, MN borders Fargo, ND (where I live now) and guess which city is the one of choice for collecting welfare in this area?
There is a very good chance that there are a bunch of people collecting in BOTH states. It is a common problem especially in border towns. My ex-sister-in-law was collecting in Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, AND Illinois until she and her band of thieves were caught. They used each other's addresses to get their benefits. They got caught when Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin all came after my brother at the same time for child support.
If we've learned anything from our political discussions here at bhc, its that we can conclude everyone in Mississippi is just like the people in this video.
No representation without taxation. Now that's a spin and no, i don't agree with it. Even those in bad situations should have a vote for those that can help or force them out of that situation. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
It's a fair idea until the government is the reason you don't have a job. I know its unlikely but the laws of today can affect tomorrow and who knows what tomorrow will bring. What I mean though, is in the event of another "Great depression" or worse the people wouldn't have any power to vote out politicians that may be responsible. Plus candidates would be able to control who votes. The union being strongly tied to the democratic party could mean a democratic tyranny. lol
Watching this video (listening) afterwards will bring balance to the universe. lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SeJbOU4nmHQ
Well done folks. A lot of good discussion on this and some great points made. We even got to meet a new member! Welcome to the boards Bizarro Vito. Now go forth and have a wonderful, safe weekend and shoot a deer. Tomorrow morning will be my first hunt of the season. Look for pictures to be up by noon. :D
I love him. He sent me a PM and said he already voted absentee, a straight Republican ticket. He's good people.
Please explain why it would cost anything to implement voter id. You already have your name on a list. You walk up and give your name ,they find it and then ask for id. I see no cost associated with that.:what: Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
One example would be that the State of Indiana has already spent over 10 million the past 3 years on the ID cards they were REQUIRED to issue to those who don't have one. Other states are projecting other costs that would dwarf what ID cards would run them. There is plenty of info on the web regarding this subject in states all over the country. I've already left three different links in this thread which cover two counties in MN and state of NC (projecting over 20 million in total costs to emplement a system). It's not something I made up. Please do some of your own research if would like addional information.
