I suppose once could sway the election.

I show an ID when I vote. It is my voter registration card, no picture. I have not had to show an ID for alcohol for a long time. I don't smoke but I don't think they would ask for one then, either.

I am not necessarily opposed to an ID when voting but requiring a photo ID does NOT solve any current problem with voter fraud (because there isn't one) so why is their a huge push to start doing it?

Why is there such a hard push against it?

LOL Do you really think this is the first year they have looked into voter fraud? You may want to do a couple google searches.

No, I am saying they investigate claims of vote fraud because it is their job. Why don't you tell me how many verifiable cases of voter fraud they found in the last 10 years.

Please explain. I am curious to know what you really meant here.

Are you saying that as a general rule conservatives are rich, "christian", elitists, with no regard for the needy? Because that is what I get out of it. I hope I have read you wrong on this. That would be the same as me saying ALL union employees are crooked because of the actions of a few. You and I have already established that simply is not the case.

I don't think the system being cheated is the problem. I think the system itself is the problem. It pays better to stay home than work for a LOT of folks, which I find disgusting.

    Sorry for the confusion.

I feel a little bit of pride in knowing that I started the thread that finally put Vito over the edge and brought out his alter ego, Bizarro Vito. Pretty cool. I wonder if Bizarro will hunt this year.....:bash:

No that is not what I meant. We (even I) tend to get on our high horse and beat our chest and look down on others plight. We (even I) tend to boast about what good christians we are, and then we bash others about where they "stand" in society and come up with reasons to why they are not as successful as us. For example saying 47% americans don't wanna work and are lazy. When Romney does not know anything about them, but he still stood tall from the mountain and bashed them. Is he a bad guy, nope, I think we tend to get caught up in how good we have it, and forget how we got where we are today. A lot of us had a lot of help, we tend to forget others are not so lucky.

    Did I use plight correctly?
