That sounds awfully high and I agree with IV show me how it would cost that much. I have family in Missouri so close enough

The article quoted above says Ramsey county thinks they would have to buy equipment to scan each id card. If you want to compound any issue to make it look bad it can be done. I already stated what would have to be done to check ID and it doesn't cost a penny more.

I would be willing to sit a table for FREE and match up ID's to a printed off list of people in the county wouldn't cost them a dime other than the paper the names were printed on.

That is kind of a rude and uncalled for way to speak about someone's father.

How would you know if they gave you a fake ID? With voter fraud so rampant I am sure there are already tons of fake ID's.

Easy cowboys. I forgot how easily you northerners get your feathers ruffled. I forgot to add the smiley face for sarcasm. I would be willing to bet your dad is the best man that ever walked the earth. Carry on.....

I am not a northerner but that reply certainly makes it all better.

Saying something disparaging about someone's parents is not "easily ruffling feathers".

Voter fraud would be tough to discourage but any time the same name and address showed up twice record it then call the authorities. Luckily in my county it is a big county but not very many people so I know most of them. What about showing photo ID and voter registration?

This has actually turned out the way I expected. Somehow it is "liberal" of me (and my father apparently) to have concerns of MORE unnecessary government spending and regulation in this country. My pot stirring is concluded.

Simple, people dependent on free government money are typically democrats since democrats typically are bigger supporters of welfare programs. Take away those people then you take away the democrat vote they bring.

Same name voter fraud? That would fail without ID, at least in my county. After you vote they check your name off of the master list. If someone were to try and use my name then either me or they couldnot vote. All of that without a picture ID.

That's why I made the comment, but you didn't see through my sarcasm. My apologies, but that's truely what it was. If you understand, I might be agreeing with you. I'm all for no unnecessary spending, but I am for voter ID. There are cheaper ways of doing it.
