Am I the only one not hardly seeing any activity during the day right now?! We have not had the best weather this week, windy and rainy at the beginning of the week. But still figured to at least catch some does coming out to feed. My trail cams are blowing up with activity all night but nothing during the day. They all saving their energy for November? Lol

I have been getting some buck pictures during the day near bedding. In fact I’m seeing a pattern develop and want to get out before it changes.

I haven't seen a single deer all year from the stand. Last year would normally see multiple per sit.

So I climbed down 8 minutes before end of legal shooting hours. Nothing was moving so it seemed. As soon as I started unhooking bow from haul line, I hear a hoof stomp. Then a blow. 3 mature does took off running across the field blowing and tails flying. Dont think they knew I was a hunter because it was so dark but they weren't looking back. Bummer.

Up here legal shooting light is let's say 630.... I can see and sit until 7+
I can't legally kill after that but the best intell can be gathered after legal light. Not saying you should sit longer but maybe you should sit longer

Legal shooting light was up at 7:20...I climbed down at like 7:12 even though I could easily see out into the field for a shot. Learned my lesson tonight. Just glad they were does and not one of the bucks im after

Thanks man! You as well! Think I would be good to hunt the same stand this evening or lay off for a few days?

You are good, in my experience deer are spooky critters and if they don't blow they aren't that concerned. They just wanted to be somewhere else

Oh they blew alright. All three were staring and blowing like crazy. It was dark enough by then there was no way they could see me but they didnt like what was over there.

Well I decided to come out tonight and this guy is bedded literally right under my stand. I made some noise in brush and he got up and trotted through the woods quietly atleast. Hopefully it will be a good night. 20191024_172412.jpg

I have yet to see a single buck on his feet while I'm in the stand. I've also stopped getting any pictures on the trail cams. Cmon sooner or later they gotta start moving I would think! This is the first year in a long time that I've been able to actually spend lots of hours in stand.
