Am I the only one to shell out 55 bucks for an iowa preference point this month.

 

Sad at what this non resident hunting has become.

 

I agree the money involved is sad.

Still it's easy to argue they are manging their hunting system better than Wisconsin is. At least they have some deer left to shoot.

 

I might be joining you shortly, dmen. I just don't know if I want to shell out that kind of money to get a perference point then in three years be limited to one hunting unit.

Picked up my 3rd point this year. Next year I'll apply for a tag. Then I will lie to my wife about how much it costs. :D

Damn it! Johnny and I forgot to get a point last year, or we would have 3 next year as well. Would have been good to hunt with you down there too.

 

55 more bucks gone,I now have 3 points.

 

Thats why i'm hunting ohio, I can buy over the counter cheap and because i'm getting put on multiple pieces of great land, I would be stupid to pass that up! Maybe someday down the road i'll start trying prefernce points but for now i'm holding off.

Nice! I'm holding off on applying again this year in lieu of an elk hunt instead. Still sitting on 3 points that are burning a hole in my pocket.

You guys need to leave my deer alone. Way too expensive and I havent seen any bucks over 100" for years. Just move along now, nothing to see here.
