I did tree work for 5 years and Pink calamine lotion always works for me.

My wife's mother is severely allergic, she can't even touch the rash to put on any meds because it's that bad. She said bactine spray works awesome,

I got chiggers when I was stationed in NC all the time, literally my whole chest, stomach, and back. I started used this lotion called chig away when I would be out in the field, never had another one.

I feel bad for you, but somebody who gets it as badly as you do simply MUST avoid it. There's no deer worth what you must be going through. I do tree work for a living, and when I was much younger I would get it if I looked at it wrong! But now, as I've gotten older I almost never get it, even when badly exposed to it.

Good friend of mine, who was as big of a skeptic as me, would get it the same as you. Just eat up with it from head to toe. His wife was big in to holistic medicine. She convinced him to try some stuff and after a few months of medicating, he got into some ivy at work and didn't break out at all. Normally would've been off a few days because of it. After that he intentionally went and got some ivy, broke it and rubbed it on himself to test it and didn't get nothing. I wish she was still alive she could tell you, but maybe Sota has something similar.

Nope Jeep what I use the poison ivy resistance is a side benefit. I use nutronics labs igf 1. It is deer antler spray and it works for me I don't like to feel like an old man so I am avoiding it as long as possible.

I get covered in it. I absolutely hate that stuff. The only way I can get rid of it is going to get a shot.

Oral Ivy. I don't get PI bad enough to take drugs, but people at work (forestry) swear by the stuff. You can take it preemptively or when a rash starts.

And I'm definitely on the chigger crew!

My Dr told me that pi oils stay active for five years. So washing is a must. The most hidden place people forget is boot laces. That is probably how you got it in the winter. He said to burn or wash boot laces because as soon as you touch your laces then you spread it who knows where and you won't even know it. Almost forgot cut your fingernails short and scrub because it hides under there as well.

I've been lucky so far all my times out hunting or scouting around, I try my hardest to avoid it if I see any along my path. Always wearing my muck boots too which helps, usually kick the boots off into the bed of the truck whenever I'm done for the day in case I did step in any so I can wash them off at home and not touch with my hands.

I don't get Ivy or the others much (thankfully) if I do it's normally small little patches on my finger or wrists.... but 1 thing I've found from YouTube is:

Once it starts to show/form... get in the bath or shower and mix Baking Soda & Vinegar and make a paste with it and then with a wash clothe scrub till you can't handle it the swollen areas and then clean with water. Pat dry once out and then with just the Vinegar and a cotton ball wipe those areas down (this will burn) but trust me the itching stops ASAP and it heals pretty darn fast... so this about 3 times a day and in no time it will be gone.

I get poison ivy by looking at it. Once you get it, steroids are the only proven way to help get rid of it quicker. I get poison ivy/oak/sumac so easily that I've spent hours and hours researching the plants to learn how to avoid developing rashes. It's amazing how poison ivy can get on your skin; moving logs that have been out of the woods for weeks? Urushiol is still on those logs if they came into contact with poison ivy when the tree fell to the ground. Walked a tractor path on the farm with 6" tall grass? Poison ivy variants are likely hidden in there and will leave oil all over your ankle.

The oil can effectively create a rash weeks after it has left the poison ivy/oak/sumac plant. The only way to beat the oil once you've come into contact with it is to use friction to remove the oil from your skin before it has had time to soak in.

Feel free to PM me for more, but here are the basics I follow:

    1. Always wear long pants and long sleeves when going into the woods or somewhere you expect poison ivy to be. 110 degrees? Don't care. Long pants and long sleeves.
    2. Within three hours of entering the woods, take a shower (not ideal, but the sooner the better). Throw your clothes straight into the washing machine on your way. You don't want to touch them again until they've been washed.
    3. Use one or two washcloths and plenty of soap (doesn't matter what kind - just get the oil up off the skin) in the shower and scrub every square inch of your body until it burns and is red. Start with the areas LEAST likely to have come into contact with poison ivy and finish with areas MOST likely to have come into contact with poison ivy. Dry off and throw the wash cloths in the washing machine.

FRICTION is the only guaranteed way to get the oil off your skin. The oil is what settles into your pores and creates the rashes. I've tried all the soaps, oils, and other snake-oil products. They do not work. Friction is the answer.

I personally need to shower within three hours of entering the woods to avoid developing rashes. Obviously, you can't always be in and out of the woods in three hours. Be extra careful on your walk to the stand. Hopefully you've cut yourself some nice paths to get back there while avoiding the poison stuff.

I don't get it, but my wife does. She swears by a product called Zanfel. It's not cheap but it works. It's got some chemical that breaks urushiol down, plus its got some grit in it to get into the rash to get down to the oil in your skin so bo more spreads
