Am I the only guy that doesn't watch ESPN Sportscenter?

I think you just went off in left field here. (thats sports lingo).

You missed something somewhere. I did not put any words in your mouth. I only pointed out that there are far more topics to open conversations with beyond sports, especially in the business world. If sports conversation works for you, thats great, go with it. It might make people more interesting to you because you are a sports fan. But to others, it might actually be a turn-off. I know guys that are limited to ONLY talking about sports. Take that away and they cant seem to carry a conversation at all. In fact, I find guys that dont have time to follow sports fanatically to be more interesting because they spend their time actually doing things rather than watching. I'm sure there are plenty of people that think my owning farms for the simple pleasure to hunt them makes me a fanatical bowhunter. And thats okay. I'm not saying either way is right or wrong. Others in this post seem to take a much harder line in pointing out that if you are not a sports fan you are somewhat less of a human being. Now THAT is funny stuff and tells me a lot about them.

 

I TOTALLY agree with you. My brother and my friends are baffled. They call and talk about it and I don't bother even mentioning it at all anymore. I used to be a DIE HARD football fan. I watched baseball too and some golf, but I don't care much about it anymore. I don't care for it anymore. As of 2011, you can bowhunt on Private property in NC. I would rather be in a treestand. My passion for years has been deer hunting and it has taken over.

 

I haven't been interested in sports since I stopped playing Football in high school. Hunting is my sport now!!!
