The woods I hunt has been flooded for more then a month now and there isnt an end in site considering we are always getting drenched. Its about 90% flooded with two feet of water or more. I took a walk threw it a few weeks back and found deer still bedding down in high spots. Probably goin to miss the opener here because of this  This is the first time i have dealt with this, just wondering how this is goin to screw up their movement.

Probably not screwed. I hunt riverbottoms quite a bit and last year they were flooded pretty bad. When I hunted up where I could watch the bottoms, I could see bucks chasing does through the water and mud. The deer would bed down where ever there was a high spot. I think the fact it was pretty hard for a hunter to get in there and pester the deer made it into a bit of a haven for them.

...also the water came up after the acorns dropped and sort of 'hid' them. Those submerged acorns were the only ones still around in Dec when the water receded. So, I saw many deer eating slightly water logged acorns in the late season. In fact the buck I shot last year was one of those deer. :D

Nope, it'll all work out. I firmly believe that. I'm kinda in the same boat with you. Alot of the river bottom I hunt is underwater right now with all the rain.

There is a lot of river bottom ground around me that goes underwater each summer. Come hunting season, the deer go back into those same areas.
