my girlfriend wants to go hunting and shoot her first deer with a bow, I don't bait because I like the challenge, and have never baited in general. But I want to set some out to see if we can't get her a doe. Am I teaching her wrong because i'm putting her over bait for her first bow hunt? Sent from my Milestone X2 using Tapatalk 2
For a beginner I think baiting might be necessary. With baiting you generally see more deer and that's what will keep a beginners attention. Otherwise they might find it boring or uninteresting. I think you're doing the right thing.
Baiting is legal in quite a few states like MI,TX,LA,FL,GA,SC,WI etc... Some of these states limit how much or where or times of the year like PA I think you should bait to get deer coming in for her.
its legal in texas as well...I think its a great idea...i dont hunt over bait myself either, but i took my wife on her first hunt over bait....she shot a deer and cried....it was way worth it....nothing wrong with it at all
Alright, i'm glad about all the positive feedback. Looks like bait is coming out! Sent from my Milestone X2 using Tapatalk 2
uh........WRONG! Might want to get some facts stright! Yes since it is legal where you are I would do it! Best way to keep her interest. After she see's a ton of deer and takes one if she chooses then let her decide how she wants to hunt going forward! Best of luck to her!
Legal in Kansas, too. Great way to inventory deer during the summer Sent from my pocket computer using Tapatalk
You're way off bud. I think baiting for a first time hunter is a great idea unless you're in an area that has high deer movement throughout the day. Gotta let them see action.
Legal to bait in ky as well. If it's legal and that's what you and her want to do, then go for it. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk 2
yeah i would put anything out i could to improve her chances of killing a deer that was legal. i hope she kills a whopper!
