the spot is in alittle bit of a valley. theres not much wind. the thing that really puzzles me is that theres sign all over. but when im out there, i here NOTHIN. i dont spook anythin when i enter or exit, and the only things movin around me are squirrels.
Perhaps the critters are bedding before you arrive and trampling all around your stand after you depart for the evening. Try skipping a morning hunt and scouting around until you bump some bedded deer. Once you do this you will know where to move your stand to set up an ambush in thick cover near the bedding site. After that you just need to let your stand rest for a few days and go get some.
ive walked all over the 1/2 mile section and bumped nothin. the covers pretty thick, and theres alotta sign. i just havent seen any deer.
the property lines are the road to the North, road to the west, the right side of the screen and the line at the bottom of the picture. its a WIHA section that runs 1 mile by 1/2 mile
