Does anyone have a climber stand they would be willing to sell me cheap? I need to get off the ground but don't have much cash to buy a new one.

Got some pics off the trail cam as well. Not the clearest, but still a good looking deer.

Took the wife out last night to sit in a ground blind at the family farm. Had these does show up, but she never could get a shot at the biggest of the three. She drew twice-- both times the supports on the blind ended up being in her view.
Starting next Thursday my playing guide comes to an end, and I’ll start getting real serious about putting meat in the freezer!

My wife's uncle passed away Thursday. Today is the visitation so I wasn't able to get out this morning, plus we were out with friends all night so that played a roll as well. Good news is I'm going to eat some deer meat today! I'm thinking chops

Sorry to here about your wives uncle Shane...

I got a batch of jerky on this morning and will be munching on it tonight in the stand.

Got a good feeling that something is gonna get the shaft tonight. Taking the wife and SIL out to the river bottom lease this afternoon. Corn is out so places to hide just dried up yesterday when they finished picking

Quick update guys. Had about 12 sits with absolutely no sightings and two really good sits where I had deer all around me. In the treestand right now, in a good stand ,where about anything could show up; however, the temps went from cold the last two days to warm again today here in Ohio so we shall see if anything moves.
The best is yet to come boys!

Looks like a close shave, I'm getting the bug and may have to head north early now, will look at the cost of Chang my ticket, one week before gun is just not enough, I may need two, to get the time in, I have a game
Plan but we all know that can change as soon as you get in the stand.

Heading out this morning on my first solo hunt of the year. Been saving this stand for this time of the year. It's a pinch point between a bean field and corn field that has produced in the past! I'm hoping that the west wind holds and gives me a good set in it...

So my river bottom lease is over ran with a gasline crew. Got there an hour before daylight this morning an there were 10 trucks and 4 pieces of heavy equipment in the bottom corn field. I had plans to hunt it hard the next 3 weeks. Not now as the forman t of the crew said they would be there for 3 weeks...
This is the one lease I have all my own. And this sucks bad....

Got to regroup now and come up with another plan....

    Man that sucks!

I went out yesterday and some kid next door decided he wanted to rid his race quad through the woods the last hour of daylight. So needless to say i didnt see anything.

I did find a heavily traveled trail behind my stand and 3 rubs. Thinking about buying and hanging a stand to put there. Anybody recommend a good hang on stand?
    Was looking at Millennium.

Plan on taking off November 9-13 to hunt. Gonna check pics tomorrow and evening hunt. Saturday morning I have a crane lift but hope to be in the stand the whole day.
Really hope to put a big buck down within the next 4 weeks!

I have a Muddy Vantage point and love it. It's light and easy to set up, but the sticks are where you spend the most time setting up. Get a good quality set its worth it
