Well, if those people are faithful, they are better off than you and I according to God. For Christians, this life is not the only thing we have. Eternal life is.
Oops Hay don't get me wrong I'm not knocking your beliefs its OK to have something to hold on to after all its a crazy world we all live in. But i don't see what is eternal about 20 people lying dead in gods house this is real ,these people have family all grieving for there loses all wondering why? Today they buried the first of the deaths from this quake,a 4 month old baby the parents left to wonder why? Do you no why? Can you lay judgement on these people that you have never meet? I think the only eternal thing to come out of this is the people who are left behind will be scared for life and be left to wonder WHY?
Many believe God can (for those who've never met him....or even heard of him).........................and does.
God works in mysterious ways. Christians non-stop wrestle with faith of eternal life. I do. I am scared to die. If I had true 100% faith, I wouldn't be scared to die. I would be lying to say I believed 110%. I am strong sometimes, and sometimes my faith is weak. If we have the believe that God wants us to have, then death has no hold on us. This life is only a small blip in the scale of eternity. If we hang onto this life, likes its all we got and all we will ever have, then sure, I can see why some would only ask why.
Once, I pondered on that thought. Nothing biblically supports it. But yea, I have pondered several ideas like that, plus pretrib, post trib, midtrib (we are in the middle of the tribulation). I have no idea, but its good to explore these ideas.
NO JOKE GMMAT,you maybe hitting it right on the head ,spell live backwards and youll find Evil is this telling us something To live is full of evil, are we in hell already?
Sual from the bible was a Christan hunter and head thump-er, after being blinded by jesus and then given his sight back he became a guy known as The apostle Paul. so even the wicked can be re-born in his name and stand in heaven. But after all the good things mosses did he was denied entrance into the promised land. In the first testament god was a tuff and mean and the new testament god is laid back and cool.... why?
A different spin from the bishops and priests that put the ink to paper in order to market their religion?
No particulary. But Christ does describe hell and what it would be like. Life, well my life is not nearly as bad as he describes. I guess what your describing is a real life "lost" episode. We think we are alive in supposal real life, but actually in hell? Like a dream that seems so real?
IMO, I think its great for people to wrestle with this. God has given us alot of information. I have been discouraged in thinking outside the box by other preachers/preists, churches. And I believe that is unhealthy and not biblical. I think its a crying shame for some to rely only on the preachers/priests word to make thier decisions.
I think it's similar to how my parents raised me. When I was young they they loved me and disciplined me, sometimes harshly (or seemingly so at the time). Now that I'm an adult, they are much less likely to come down on me. They still love me, but our relationship has changed drastically. I think we can get glimpses of both the Kingdom of God and Hell. But I don't think our world is near bad enough to be "hell", but in comparison from what I gather the Kingdom is like, it might as well be.
