I'm going to get a MacBook Pro and I have a few questions... For all intensive purposes this will be used for work and personal items. I will be using it to mess with HD Videos as well.

    1. How much difference is there between a 2.66 Ghz processor and a 2.86Ghz?
    2. Would you buy a solid state hard drive rather than rotational?
    3. How much memory do you really need?

    Thanks!!!

    1. I don't know specifics, but with HD video every bit helps, those files are huge
    2. Solid State is much more reliable to never crash (a rare occurance in the first place, given)
    3. As much as possible if you are referring to data storage, HD video says it all.

If you go bigger/better on all 3 questions, you have the best computer money can buy, although it will take a lot of money to do so.:tu:

EDIT: To add, from what I have learned of solid state drives, they are cutting edge...but very expensive, and actually have a shelf life so to speak... the more times they are used the slower it gets where as a HDD is very cheap and keeps working for much longer (if it doesn't crash). I'd say once they build on SDDs and bring the cost down, they will soon be standard for all computers.
