Sorry Hooker, I don't subscribe to magazines like "Inside the SEC" so I don't know what you are talking about man. I have seen him hug his players and tell them he appreciates them, loves them, and thanks them for giving it their all. That is the type of coach players will die for on a football field. Off the field, I have no clue as to what he does to treat them so good.
Nope, simply stating my opinion (and asking for others). I don't buy that only his dad made contacts and he had no knowledge. I like to think my BS detector is better than that. I only pointed out the holes in your point that the NCAA would look silly if there were further investigations.
copy and paste = " If they do, they ONLY make themselves look bad" Bad (in this context) is, or is darn near a synonym of silly.
So, they clear a player to play.....and then go forward and retroactively make him ineligible.....and this makes them look "good"? If you wanna use "silly", I recant. Go ahead.
Investigations of major programs are nothing new....they are reported annually about multiple programs nationwide by the media...most of the time nothing comes of them whether there was fire to start that smoke or not. Auburn has supposedly been under investigation for a year now according to some, and not for Cam Newton. I've heard similar stories about Bama, LSU, and FLA depending on who you listen to. Who knows. If there is one thing the NCAA has proven time and again this year, they do NOT always use logic or follow precedence when ruling on a case. They rule based on who they should and shouldn't punish, what makes them money or loses them money, etc. It makes no sense with the string of rulings they have had in the past year.
I change my mind, since Chip Kelley mirrored his offense of former MI coach R-Rod, there is no way he can win
Exactly, could not agree more. Again, not defending the NCAA by my comments. Just saying what I think will happen. As I said before your original point was incorrect so I was just pointing it out. Nothing personal. 75% of everything the NCAA does disciplinarian is a joke. I like to believe I'm smart enough to be able to use my brain and determine that there was some major wrong doing that CN knew about per the rules and it will come out. You can't tell me this was ALL his dad and he knew nothing. I don't buy it. These investigations do some good once in awhile. Southern Cal with Reggie Bush got caught, Pete Carroll jumped ship and now the team can't play in a bowl game and has scholarship limits. Sometimes it works, sometimes it does not.
I think Auburn wins comfortably in a lower than expected scoring game. I hope to see a shootout, but I think Auburn wins 31-17.
I think Auburn wins but not in a shootout. These offenses are very good, but both D coordinators have had over a month to prepare. I remember when Florida played OU and OU had the most prolific offense in NCAA history and and UF's offense was hot too and everyone picked a 41-38ish game. Everyone forgot both teams played pretty good defense. AU and Oregon's defense aren't as good as Florida's and OU's, but they are still pretty good. I like Auburn 30-24.
I hope Auburn gets beat by 30. I also hope we hear of their season being taken away in a year or 2. Now my mind tells me unless Oregon can stop SCAM they are in for a long night, since he basically accounts for 75% of Auburns yards. I was hoping to see Oregon come out with some very loud uni's...the socks are there, but the whole uni's are not.
