    I messed up really bad last year! Shot my first buck. Didn’t know how to score yet and never got it entered I was a sad team mate but this year will be different

    There used to be a rule if you didnt enter your deer you were not allowed to participate in the contest the following year. Not sure if that is still around or not.

    BTW, Fitz hasn't logged on here in a month.

    Last year was my first year to be apart of the contest and I enjoyed every minute of it! It made everything fun during the season! I was able to bag my first mature buck and add a doe. I can't wait to meet some new people this year and hear all about their bucks and hunting season. It makes me look forward to something for the upcoming year.

    I’ve missed everyone posting on the forum this last season. I have to agree with Virginia, swampy getting that buck was the highlight of my season!!! Really looking forward to live from the stand! Only 60 days left!!!!

    I just hope that if I get a buck this season, it will not die in a river. The last two seasons I have had to use a canoe for the recovery. In 2016 I recovered the buck intact. Last year, the vultures got to it first.

    Also, 2018 is my once every three years to hunt in Alberta. I will be chasing elk with my dad and brother September 19-28. I am more pumped for that than for deer season in Arkansas.

    I was just reading live from the stand 2016 and got myself worked up. I almost posted a reply and had to remind myself it was two years ago. Still have 2 1/2 months to go before the season opens!
