Sad, o-so sad of a story. Found an island of trees in a 8-year old slash of app. 140 acres. Worked the set hard, even cut a path with a weed wacker in august to get in quiet. First stand wed 11/11, mature 8 comin at me chasin 2 -does all is good, wind at his back, he sees me move or just doesnt know what I am, he slides out to 35, and then comes back to me," after blowing at me twice" gives me a broadside, lookin away, I assumed 30, he was at 24, as I let go, he turns back and looks at me, and drops about 4inches as the arrow takes a chunk of hair off his back, perfect horizontal, way off vertical.

I put more time on this set then I have ever put time in on any stand anywhere in 20 years of flingin arrows and had accomplished my goal of putting myself in the right place at the right time, and then forgot that in the end you still have to make the shot.

Yep, he sent me a text right away this morning.

When I saw your screen name I thought it was you. Confirmed it with the story. Tough break man, especially with how much time you've been putting in.

Keep the faith Jumping Sucker, you'll whack a big one!
