alright gentleman, I am not one for letting go of cash, however my trail cam died. it was OLD Tasco with no adjustment for range of the IR (I think) whatever tells the camera to snap a pic... you had to practically be touching it to get a picture. needless to say no deer touched the camera for about a month... I REALLY dont want to spend a lot on a new one, I'd say less than $80 - as long as I can tell it's a buck or doe, and see the rack I am happy. Whaddya recommend?
As with everything else you get what you pay for. I reccommend getting on craigslist. You arent gonna find worth its salt for $80....I mean you might find one for $80 ...but youll be finding one for $80 again next year....theres $160 you coulda spent on one thatll last for who knows how long...i am just suggesting that if you go cheap, itll end up costing you on that kind of product. I recommend expanding your horizons and looking into a more reliable name like moultrie or covert....i have heard bad things about cuddeback...so I personally wont go with them.....good luck brother
i hear ya, however I've had 2 stolen... first one was a really nice one. had it locked down to tree, pad locks on it and all the bell and whistles. thinking like you... spend some $$ once and it wont cost me each year or so. went back after two weeks, gone. bought s slightly cheaper one, camoflauged the hell out of it, locked it down, went back a couple days later because I was paranoid, gone... I guess they didn't want the Tasco.. LOL.
