I know you guys are out there;) I have been sharpening my trad skills on the DL. I don't talk about recurve hunting on here much, because I don't do it much. But that is about to change! I have become pretty deadly out to about 15-18 yards in the past couple months.

I am out of school from Dec 12-Jan 12 and you can bet that I will be doing alot of late season hunting:cool:

My goal: take a doe with my recurve......(hopefully)

Wish me luck! I am sure going to need it!!

Here is an old pic from earlier this fall I snapped with my phone. This is how I am shooting at 15 yards. It is still about the same now. If a doe gets within 10 yards or less, she's in trouble:deer:

Goodl luck. I totally respect trad gear, but have no interest myself. I know it is much more difficult, which is why I respect the people who succeeed at it. I tried it one summer, but I never enjoyed it. Don't really know why. Good luck taking a late season deer with it. Hey, maybe you'll even take one of those ellusive bucks.

Good luck man, the last year I hunted before this year I used a recurve. Shot the biggest deer I had ever seen that year. The only problem was the recurve was so slow he dropped to the ground, and was on his way back up when the arrow reached him on a shot under 20 yards. I needed a 10 year break after that, and a really fast bow lol.
