Got me looking at last years trail camera videos. So today I tried to sort out the coolest of the cool (from 100's of videos) and put together a video. I know it's only the end of June and this is very painful to watch and I apologize for that :)

You're right. That was painful to watch. Very nice, but painful.

Nice videos! What kind of scent do you use?

Were those videos taken with your Coverts? Or no?

I have been using Border Crossing Ever Calm "deer herd in a stick" on the licking branches

Those videos are from a Primos 35 and Primos 46 I didn't have any DLC Coverts last year at that time :(

Goodness, Pat. The buck at the 3:25 mark is unbelievable--wide, long tines. . . What do you think he would score or do you know because you killed him last year.

Explain everything that you do with the mock scrapes. Do you use the dripper? Did you start the scrape that you were videoing or was it a scrape that you started tinkering with? Did you put the branch there or was it an existing branch? Do you put a special scent on the branch? Please explain to me like I'm an idiot because when it comes to mock scrapes, I am.

The buck at 3:25 scores 135 7/8 gross (I know he looks way bigger) and is hanging over my fireplace right now :)

    No dripper.

I started that scrape a few years back and it is there forever now.

I replace the branch as needed I have found that they like a "live" branch with leaves better.

I rub the scent on the licking branch and let the deer take over from there I reapply when I add a new branch and the cycle starts again.

There is a really good write up in the Whitetail forum on mock scrapes right now :)

Congrats on a great buck. He must be 23" wide. I find it hard to believe that he only goes 135". He must have had some deductions. I didn't look as closely at the symmetry, I was just astounded at his width and height. Great buck!

I have some Trophy Blend "Herd in a Stick" that I might try that with. Do you then scrape the ground and put some there too. I've peed in them myself and it doesn't seem to have a negative affect.

I'll check out the article that you suggested. Thanks and good luck!

That bucks downfall was 18 inch main beams and he is only 18.25 inside spread But it didn't matter to me what he scored I had 2 years of trail camera pics of him and wanted to get him in the worst way. even at 136 I shoot a buck like that every time :)

None on the ground. But I also pee in them myself.

Thanks and Good luck to you also

Pat - AWESOME video compilation! I thoroughly enjoyed that.

What size SD card are you using and how many videos can you hold on it?

Once the scrape action picks up, I might switch my IR cams over to video mode. That is... IF my SD cards can handle it.
