Was dialed in prior to the season starting. First couple weeks of the season, I was shooting fine as well.

    Then...

The last two times out I was shooting about 4 inches low across all my sites. 20, 30, 40.

Checked for loose sites or if my no-peep was loose, nope. Everything checks out alright. Since this was the second time shooting consistently low, I adjusted the site and am back to normal.

So, wondering is there would be a common cause for this. Perhaps my string stretched? It was new 2 years ago. This is the third season.

    Any thoughts?

Check your rest, it may have loosened or it may not be raising correctly. You may also want to check and see if your nock point changed (can't imagine how but.......).

Does a string strech the same in both directions?

I do not think that string stretch would cause it to be that far off. The stretch of the string ends after about 100- 200 shots once you get a new string put on it. I know what happened to me this summer is that I bought new arrows that were different weight and it really affected my shot pattern.

Yup, I checked around and could not fine an actual problem.

I have no idea about the string stretch. Does sound odd though!

Really bad advice, I hope that's sarcasm.

Had perhaps your peep slid? Are you anchoring the same?

Draw your bow with your eyes shut and anchor like you always do naturally. Open your eyes and see if you peep slid.

Just another possibility not knowing or seeing your bow.

    Thanks for the tips.

It is possible that my Timberline no-peep moved and I somehow did not notice. I'm not sure how much it would have to have moved for that to be the case. I know they are very sensitive.

I feel comfortable like everything is right where it should me. I will draw with eyes shut and check. I'll also check my rest to see it that is somehow not fully extended. It is an older cobra 2 prong rest.

Do you know what your bow speed was before? Can you chrono it now? Might help knowing that it's not the bow itself.

My old, old bow suddenly started acting weird and I couldn't figure it out. It ended up being that the cable guard bar had moved. It was really frustrating trying to figure out what the issue was.

    Good luck.

I dont know what you have set up for your bow as far as preventing vibrations, but after a long session of shooting and your sights only being finger tight, they could have moved just that hair enough to send it off.
