We are completely over run. They push the deer out from food sources and we don't even bother starting food plots (drought also doesn't help). We had one plot electrified with a solar charger, but it kept malfunctioning and they would have the wire strung out 20 yards from the poles. I can shoot a sow every couple of weekends sitting over a water hole, but it doesn't even make a dent.
Open season down here in TX. Legalized shooting them out of helicopters a few years back. Sportsman Network had a great episode of Pigman with Uncle Teddy shooting them with full autos from the sky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVecBww1vcE
They had another show on last night where they were pig hunting on a 200k acre private ranch somewhere in Texas. From the looks of it, they have a serious problem with them there. They were allowed to shoot at night with lasers and night vision scopes.
