Is for somehow the Yankees get out of A-rods $24 million a year contract for the next 5 years. Force the guy to retire due to injury where insurance will pick up 85% of his money. He's happy... Yankees are happy.. Yankee fans are really happy. Can't trade him. In fact, probably couldn't pay a team to take him. He's a bum. He's a slouch. He can't hit a 88mph fastball. He's old. He can't put up numbers without PED's. He's batted .111 (twice), .125, .198 in the last 4 postseasons. The dude is TOAST!!!!! And to put himself in a position to be linked with PED's? AGAIN????? The guy have the smarts of an ice cube or what? Furthermore, if you're going to take the stuff...... PRODUCE at least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell would've happened if he wasn't? This is bad.... really really bad. Please free up the money for the Yankees to be able to sign someone that will help them.
Yeah, lets screw the insurance company to pay for the bad contract the Yankees agreed to. I find it ironic that the Yankess front office or fans didn't care about ARoids drug use when he was hitting homeruns. But when he can't play, he's a bum.
Yankees front office or certainly fans didn't know of A-rods drug use when he signed contract. Since he's been "clean" he's a bum.
The Steinbrenner's shot themselves in the foot on this one. They just couldn't stand the thought of someone else getting him. The contract was simply too long a term at his age. They should have walked away if they couldn't have gotten something like 5 years.
The Yep... same will be true with the Pujlos deal and many more to come. Basically you can cut the length of contract in number of years in half and essentially say you're paying them twice that over half the time. They load up these 10 year contracts banking on utilizing them and winning championships over the first 5 years. Alarming to say the least.
Yup, I agree.... Pujilos is the same deal. And when was the last time one of these big deals turned out to be fruitful. NEVER
You seriously are going to try to sell this line of crap? Everyone but you had an idea that Arod was juicing. At one point you thought he was to, but just couldn't convince yourself. You are a big enough fan to know what are normal numbers and what are not. He was producing above that. Anyone should have known he was juicing.
Nobody knew A-rod was juicing (or anyone) untill "juicing" came to the table. At the time of above normal numbers nobody was pointing towards juice except for Canseco. Mcgwir, Sosa, Bonds, etc..... all brought to the forefront and as we know it now. But NO! At the time A-rod was just an exceptional baseball player. Different story now. You're telling me everyone knew he was on roids when he was at Texas? It wasn't a surprise when the story came out while he was a Yankee? Really?
