This week I am hunting from around 10am-sundown on Tuesday/Wednesday. Thursday will be an all day sit, and Friday from sun-up to around 3pm. I cannot hunt next Saturday or Monday due to some other commitments. Then the first week of November I will sit all day as many times as I can physically muster.
i have a hard time sitting in one spot for more then 5 hours, but where i sit should be an all day thing lol
I will be starting my all day sits next weekend. Halloween for sure, won't know until Wednesday if I have to work Friday and Saturday so may be starting sooner.
I have never sat in one stand from sun up to sun down, I will often times get down around noon and move to a different stand. Usually start this around the last week of October.
I've been doing all day sits for more than a week. I have split the sits between different properties at times.
I will be in the stand all day from this Monday (October 25th) until the end of the MN shotgun season (November 14th). I've save vacation time all year specifically for this period of time.
Where you hunting at in Minnesota? I am down in the South East corner, right between Austin, and th Iowa Border.
All season long. I've already got a few under my belt this season. I get a good bit of mid day action, even in throughout October.
My parents live in Elba I normally hunt the opening weekend of bow season with my dad somewhere in the Whitewater Valley, then spend any other hunting time I have in Scott County WMAs or in the Minnesota River Valley. This year I am signed up for an MBRB hunt (starts tomorrow). We don't normally hunt shotgun season down in the valley due to the overwhelming pressure. It should be interesting to see what happens this year with the new restrictions. We usually hit public land over in Wabasha county during gun season. Late bow season I will try and get down to SE Minnesota a few times but I have a lot of area I can hunt up here near the Cities.
