Toss a couple 5 Hour Energys in your bag and call it a day. This is no time to get picky!

Then I might drop my bow because I have the shakes!

Seriously though, I plan to pack for a more comfortable sit this year.

LOL! I dropped my bow because I was being stupid. I was trying to balance it on my leg while holding it only by my release and moving my camera with my other hand. The release came unclipped when the cam slipped off my leg, and off she went!

When I do an all day sit, I usually take a climber, and I take water a Mountain Dew and some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

My all day sits typically involve embracing the grind…if I have a big pack sometimes I like to throw the DSLR in just for something to do during slow times. I’m a apples, water and 5 hour energy guy - boring I know but I don’t like wrappers or tons of stuff in the tree with me.

I can get a second buck and have a vacation coming. But I am also in full swing of a bathroom remodel for my wife which is setting precedent over everything else. So I plan on a few days to play here in a few weeks.
I told myself he wasn’t a shooter for me but the spur of the moment and the first time a snort wheeze worked for me and I couldn’t help myself. He got my adrenaline going and that was good enough for me!
    What’s your November look like?

plan for now is that Thurs/Oct. 27 will be the first full dawn till dark all dayer for me (winds still permitting .. n/nw going ne/e then a string of easterlies into the wknd and cooler too .. ) still planning from which two locations to choose as I dont trust the wind/weather predictions this far out. I'm holding off till Wed. PM to get back out as it is and let this darn heat and very high winds/rain move out then its hell bent from late/AM-afternoon Wed thru Sat. then wait till vac#2 hits in Nov. .. BTW, 2 bttls 5 hour energy + for me and 2 Aleves or Ibuprophen ... I'll need to plan for the all day sit on Thurs (water/munchies, dont forget the crap paper, always carry more than enough... always ..)

I'm retired and weather depending on, i'll be out unless it's raining. i usually can't do a lot of all-day sits but I'll get a few in.
water , MT Dew, and couple apples, oranges, and this yr i have jerky from my doe i killed on Oct 01.

I have a doe and a buck tag in Pa. and 3 NY tags.

I can't remember the last time I did an all day sit. Probably 4 years ago. They suck.

You have a lot of tags to fill! I dream about retirement. This work thing is overrated!

They are rough on the body that’s for sure. Maybe we need one of those enclosed huts with TV and a recliner.

Drats !! .. now two of the three weather sites sites have changed wind directions for Thurs, may even have to rethink Wed. afternoon ... thats why I hate getting my hopes up for a specific/dedicated wind more than 2 or 3 days out ......

I love them. If I have a sandwich, granola bar, and a thermos full of coffee I am good.

I have shot a number of them late morning and early afternoon in the first two weeks of Nov. And I’ve had a lot of encounters during those times as well.

My love for all day sits probably has more to do with the ability to unplug and actually enjoy being out there and not have to worry about work/kids, etc. It took me until probably in my mid 20s to be comfortable sitting all day, but they are now my very favorite hunts of the year. I’m lucky if I get 3-5 per year but would do more if I had the time.

I hunt almost exclusively out of LW Alphas today. My preferred stand is a LW Sit and Climb wide though, we just don’t have hardly any trees in the Midwest you can hunt out of with a climber.

I don't think I've ever done an all-day sit in anything other than a Lone Wolf hang-on. Usually Alphas, but I've done a couple in Assaults and never had an issue. I have one Alpha with a set of foot rests on it, and that sucker is great for long sits.
