This is my first year doing foodplots. I have 120 acres with about 12 acres in the middle that I am going to plant. I know I need a soil test n will be doin that. But I was wondering if/when I get my soil right, is alfalfa hard to take? I've heard it can be but figured I would ask around. I plan on getting a few acres of corn going, a few of turn ups, and need something else that will ripe a little sooner, so I can be covered almost year round. Also have a brassis field going in over top of a pipe line being put in a few months from now so would like something special to draw the deer off my neighbors property. Thanks for the advice guys.
