That would be really neat to see. I agree with the not large enough. I wouldn't shoot it, but that is just me.

Everyone that ever had the possibility of being your neighbor thanks you for that. Why are you always such a troll on threads? Do you not have anything better to do? Seriously.

The OP asked if you would shoot the deer. He didn't ask you to sit in judgement of every hunter on the forum. Seriously what is wrong with you? While you're at it, and since you have so much wisdom, why don't you point the rest of us in the direction of these "tame" deer you speak of. You're so awesome, you could probably write a book about how awesome you are.

I'd shoot it and tell everyone I knew. Im not out there spending my time and money to pass on a once in a lifetime opportunity to appease others hurt feelings. It's a deer that just happens to be white.

It is illegal in Iowa to shoot any deer that is over 50% white. It happened for this very reason. Someone shot what was a "mascot" albino that was readily viewed and admired by many. The legislator of the area got involved and drafted a bill that quickly became law. End of albino and piebald season. I guess I have no real problem with that. It saves a lot of bs.

lol, you're a joke man. Show me one good reason why anyone needs to value your negative opinion. everyone hunts for different reasons. Yours is not the only way.

I told him I wouldn't shoot it and then why. I passed judgement on no member of this board. Are you confused about who is posting what??

It's OK if you and the great land managers you know don't have a clue about genetics or heredity. Don't get mad about it.

Draw up some Punnett squares and figure out why your comments are so laughable and you will get the joke ;)

First. Awesome deer and I would shoot as well. Without a doubt. Now no offense but ur taxi has no clue if this buck would survive the winter. He is making a random opinionated guess. Now maybe he dies but maybe not. The taxi doesn't know. Either way I'm shooting all day long. Congrats on an awesome hunt. Well deserved in my opinion.

What's it matter? They manage their land to THEIR preferences, not yours or anyone else for that matter. You definition of a "serious land manager" will differ from that of someone else, and that doesn't make them wrong. The only thing insulting about our conversation is your need to constantly belittle someone else, as if you are someone of importance. LOL talk about giving people a break.

You're like everyone else, man; a NOBODY!

I know plenty about genetics, and have an education to back that statement up from an accredited University. You more than likely have an opinion based off of internet sources, which you feel makes you an "expert". Seems like most on here are trying to figure out WTF went wrong between your parents genetic codes..

In my honest opinion, any deer I see is fair gain unless it has spots on. I will 100% own the fact that i can't age deer in the field to save my life, plus I hunt for the freezer. I would have shot that buck in a heartbeat. From a land management standpoint, I could see this going either way. I personally would want to take those genetics out, but some people think that this type of thing is cool. Congratulations to the hunter, and shame on the townspeople for giving him such a hard time about the deer of a lifetime.

If I own the land, and I take a deer legally, I don't care if it comes of 3 acres or 300 it's a done deal. He gone. Anyone had a problem with it that's on them. I ain't losing any sleep over it.
