Life is nearly back to normal now, except for the lack of internet access on campus. Came home to drop off the mower, thought I would log in and enter my buck for the contest. Either we mis measured the mass when it first hit the dirt, or preserving the velvet helped dry it up and shrink the mass measurements, as my official tape yesterday read 91 1/8". and the difference was ALL in the mass measurements. Still a great Sitka for me, but it baffles me how my first what I thought was official scoring was 3" over. Oh well.

The moisture from being left in the cooler ruined the velvet on 2-3 of the bucks. Looks like fake velvet is our last resort here. I have one velvet buck still fine, and obviously the hard horned one is ok.

I will still add a story and thanks for the congrats. Hopefully I will have internet tomorrow.
