Curious on some info...related to bowhunting Alaska.

What big game can be hunted by a Lower 48er without a guide?
Are any of these OTC or do they still require draw?

    Just curious...want to have accurate day-dreams :d

Guide required for: Brown bear, mtn. goat and/or Dall's sheep.

Drawings are by species and area but you can hunt just about anything OTC if you go to the right area at the right time. Here's the reg.'s, you should read through them but it helps to have some idea what #1: what area do you want to hunt? (the reg's are broken into area first). #2 what species do you want to hunt? (the areas area broken down by species 2nd.)

One thing is for sure, Sitka Blacktails CAN be hunted OTC without a guide.

Rob, tickets will be had Thursday PM.

Basically, the three requiring a guide, are the three most sought after big game animals IN alaska. How convenient, lol.
