Hello fellow bowhunters. I started bow hunting this last year and its an odd story on how I got started. I began bow hunting with my uncles crossbow and the first night out i shot a doe and I was hooked. not long after a friend of mine gave me a compound bow and I took it out the first time in the 2013 season. I have taken a few good deer with this new bow and I'm Hooked but I think it's time to upgrade. As I prepare for the 2014 season I'm upgrading to a new mathews bow and I'm also getting a new bow for my 10 year old little girl. I am looking forward to a great season hunting with my wife and daughter. I hunt in Alabama so the buck aren't quit as big but they are just as fun

Thanks for the kind welcoming. After I started practicing out in the yard with my first bow my oldest girl started asking about having her own bow. Like most kids I figured she wanted it because it was something new. It just so happens that she still wants to try it and she is very exited to get a new bow of her own. I also took the time to read through the link in one of the forums about getting youth into archery. There were some great pointers and ideas I never thought of. That's gonna be a lot of help with getting her started.
