Deer: Iowa Whitetail deer skinning w/ air compressor - YouTube Coyote: Air Skinning a Coyote - YouTube
Yeah I'm watching a vid of it now actually. Edit* Okay finished watching this vid: http://youtu.be/1i2feZIdCfM My initial impression is it is a waste of time and money. I was initially impressed watching the deer blow up. I thought whoa this may actually work but after they hung it and the guy started skinning it, I don't see any improvement. For the time they spent messing with the air to the time he finished cutting off the head and cape...I could have been done without messing with the stupid air and wouldn't have been pulling my guts out on the cape either.
I know a guy that is a scuba diver who carries an air tank in his vehicle at all times and has used it for a ton of different things. One of those is air skinning deer. He does it on freshly killed deer before field dressing them. After hanging the deer he pulls the hide off, cuts the shoulders, back straps, neck meat, etc. off (including tender loins) and then pulls a trash bag up over the rib cage and saws the spine off just where it meets the hind quarters. The ribs and insides fall into the bag and he even gets the tenderloins out and hardly gets his hands dirty. A game warden once told him there was no way he could get all the edible meat off that way until he watched him do it and then said he was very impressed. As for me, I don't have an air tank handy so I use a knife. :D
