Over time a lot of nasty crap gathers in your air ducts. Sure you should clean it and maybe even inject some type of air treatment.
I have had it done twice, both times it was after I purchased a house. I think it was like $400. They got a lot of stuff out of them, the one house they even got a couple toys out of the duct. I do not know if it made the air quality any better but getting all of that dust and dirt out of there had to be a good thing.
Do you home work on asking the companies alot of questions.I have not done it but have researched it. http://www.generalduct.com/ Not sure where you are at but I talk to this company and they explained the differentence of what they do then the the cheaper costing companies.
