    • Cold Beer in the Fridge
    • Just put the marinated Ribs in the slowcooker
    • Some sipping whiskey in the cabinet
    • It's 3 above outside. Warm in here though.
    • Fire going on the fireplace
    • Two great battles on the gridiron

It's going to be a great day. Anyone else have some good food planned or something special lined up for today?

Sounds good Jeff (except for the Bears part ;)) Let me know how that squirrel recipe goes. I'm intrigued.

I'm just happy I have nothing to do today except pamper my pale white a$$.

Just got done cutting up some trees a little more, gonna eat and then head out to scout some new land. Not sure if my wife is cooking the squirrels in the Tangine or slow cooker, using the creole sauce regardless. The beer is cold and I'll crank up the second woodstove when I get back. I'll be doing some map stuff but I can watch/listen to the first game while doing that. Nice day so far and looks promising for later.

For the record, the reason I did not grill the ribs is shown below in case anyone wants to criticize my cooking method.

Current grill situation on the back porch.

Gonna head out and pull the last three stand sets, then cut a quick load of firewood for my brother, THEN head for the couch. Have a great day all.

We're going to burn up some .22 ammo here in a bit.
(we've got it set up so we can sit in the mudroom and shoot into the backyard. Much warmer that way... heh.. Rednecky)

    Then it's Bears/Packers
Pizza, chicken wings, venison kebabs and rumaki.

Dang, NY Bowhunter, that's a month's worth of food!

Yes.........it's actually a perfect weekend for me. Spent yesterday with family and friends on the ice chasing flags all day, and today in my man chair with my pup recovering a bit from yesterday. :) My wife is cooking me a grilled cheese sandwich, along with a pot roast for tonight, and I'm thinking about cracking a cold one open here soon. It's cold outside, I have nothing productive to do, and it smells like good food in my house. A perfect day for sitting around and watching some football.

Just ordered a steak salad for the wife, buffalo burger with waffle fries for me, and some wings to share. Thank God for the Spartan Pub being 4 miles away.
