If this was public land I'd kill him in a heart beat but this is a lease we just got on and were really going to try to manage it and grow some big deer.

How much land is the lease?

And why is there a fence around the feeder? To keep the deer out?

Yes. Deer won't hang around a feeder with hogs on it.

Yes but they don't hang around feeders much especially during daylight. This is actually a good buck for my area and to be that young is very encouraging. I have another 8 on camera that I know is 2 1/2 so I'm excited about the next 2 years and to see what these bucks will become. Come 2 or 3 weeks we will start to awesome more bucks with the rut coming in.

    Thanks for rubbing it in...

Our 1 1/2s are forks and little 6's. I got 4-5 different 1 1/2 bucks around the same feeder that this one was at.

Yes, he looks to be 2 1/2 years old. I wouldn't shoot him because I've killed bigger, but if he's a good one for your area take him my friend!
