Age This Deer

    I had this deer show up on my camera for the first time fairly recently. My first impression was that this is a very nice 2 year old because of how skinny and long-legged he looks, but after taking into consideration that this is a post rut picture I'm thinking an older deer that just lost a lot of weight.     I wouldn't put it passed 3.5. Either way, it looks like this deer has some great potential for you! Nice looking deer.

    Yea, that's a young buck, with a nice looking rack! No older than 3 1/2.

    He’s young. 3.5 max I’d call. Face doesn’t have grey, back has no slouch and stomach no paunch. He got nice genetics, feed him some viagra !

    If I couldn’t see his rack I would bet good money 2.5, but like others have said no older than 3.5

    Heck of a deer!!!!

    Thanks for weighing in... we dont generally have genetics for real monsters here in PA and with that in mind I would probably call him 3.5 even though his body looks 2.5.
