Dan's thread got me thinking about the pictures of this deer. How old do you think he is? This is an area where LOTS of old deer were seen, as it had never been deer hunted until 2007. This deer is from East Central Texas.

Greg (Tx), this was on the trinity just outside of Ennis.:d

Minimum 5 1/2, possibly older. Sagging belly, "short" legs, deep chest, and his neck basically blends right into his chest. Great buck. :tu:

My deer back In 2007 was 4.5 years old based on my own knowledge and the buck In this picture looks much more "mature/older" looking. I'd say 6.5, If not older.

I would say 5.5 as well. By no means am I an expert, but comparatively speaking, Tx deer, from what I've seen, don't often have body mass like that. What a stud.

I agree with the 5.5 +. But I think probably more like 6.5. His skin is starting to appear loose, especially on the underside of his neck in the first pic, and check out the dip in his back on the second pic.
