Eastern NC doesn't seem too many decent size bucks. This one appeared on my cam. Would you shoot him or wait another year? Age estimate? I'm almost positive I would be the only hunting him. Thanks

Really hard to tell age from those pics. It's all about your personal goals, shoot what makes you happy. If I had to guess I would say 3 years old

I'd say he's either 3 or 4. He's probably never going to get past 140" no matter how old you let him get. If he's a nice deer for the area and you'd be proud of him then go after him and enjoy it. He's a nice buck.

Well if he shows his face I'll stick him! Thanks everyone. I'm new to aging and letting them walk. They run dogs in my area and they never get a chance to grow!

I am guessing a 3.5 yr old and would be a dandy to shoot if it walked by me!

3.5. Nose is still straight. I would shoot him though. Great for nc. Always looks bigger in velvet. His rack will thin down a lot after shedding.
