    I agree with your points.

I have this guys bedding area pegged and wanted some thoughts on his age... A yearling (last season) I will discount him from my thoughts for a couple years, if he was 2.5 (which I believe per those photos from last winter) then I will cut some lanes so I can set up on him this fall if he "blows up" into a good 3.5. He may be a "shooter" this year, time will tell. Either way I want to get the lanes cut earlier rather than later.

sounds like a solid game plan.....no doubt in my mind he is a shooter next year, just need to relax your standards back down to my level....makes finding a "good" buck much easier. LOL:busted:

2.5 year old. Do you have any food plots planted?

No, but there is roughly 200 acres of agriculture that is mixed between beans and corn every year. There is also a good pouplation of white oak as well.

Beans and corn grow real nice deer, but you could give your deer a big boost by planting a food plot(s) for when they aren't on the beans or the beans are simply not available yet. Something simple like a clover alfalfa mix (good minerals and high protein) or even just clover would be a big help. Of course it never hurts to have plant a kill plot next to a bedding area with some extra tasty plants in it.;) :uzi:
