Age/Score

Ok this is a buck I have recently named Super8. I have a pretty decent idea. I just wanted to see what everybody else thought his age an what he might score!

 

I have zero experience in this but I thought I would post first before the experts do just for some practice. With his swayed back, low drooping belly, and thick neck I would for sure give him 4,5+. Now for score.... 160??? I'm really just shooting in the dark here from what I have seen in the past.....He is for sure a brute though, Dream buck.

 

This giant made me take a look at Jason Sanders before I typed anything.

Gross - 164 5/8"

Net - 158 4/8"

That is a huge eight point.

Age 5 1/2+

 

Just passin thru, for not being very experienced that's a damn good guess bud!

 

That is a monster! 160+, and 4.5+ for sure. Way bigger than anything in my area. Good luck with him :D

 

Right around 160-165. Age would most likely be 5+

Not sure on age but he's a mature deer, I would put him 148-154".

 

4.5, 150-ish.
He's a beast for sure, but looks like he's just 4 proportional points shy of my old mans 167" gross 12 point. Reason I'm comparing your 8 to his 12 is they have very similar height and spread. So I'm subtracting +/- 20 inches from that.
Any way he scores he'd be a heckuva trophy.

 

Looks in the 5 plus range. I also think he is 160ish.

Age around 4.5 an score. I give him around 135, know more about him with velvet off.

 

Mid 160s.

Age 5 1/2. You can really tell how his belly is sagging. Sure sign of a mature deer.

Great buck! It takes something special for an 8 to push over 140", once he drops velvet I would put him is right in that 140" range. Definitely mature, best guess is 5 1/2.

 

I pretty much agree - it takes a truly special 8 point to go over 140". He looks pretty special which is why I was thinking close to 150.
Unless that pig is over 5 feet tall at the shoulders; I just can't see any way he's over 160".
This is a 167" 12 point. 4 more points and similar in overall height; not to mention these pics don't really do the mass any justice.



Just posting a verified 160+ buck for comparison - not to diminish that 8 point beast in any way whatsoever; because he's awesome.

 

I would guess around 160 and he looks 4 or 5 years old. Awesome 8 pointer. Scoot

4.5 score: 140-155

 

5.5+ years old. Mid 150s score.

 

hes a good 4.5 to 5.5 year old deer but since hes only an 8 he wouldnt go over 150.. probably mid 140's but thats huge for an 8...great deer.
