Amazing deer. Actually looks to be a younger deer, say 3 to maybe 4, but incredible genetics. Very hard to score in the velvet for me especially with at least another two weeks of growth and big horns grow a bunch in the last days. Definitely a very good deer.
awesome buck. I'm with others. Looks 4. I'd roughly guess this buck will be over 150 maybe 160 based on spread and number of tines. the final length of tines will make or break that. Im def no Pope and Young scorer though. I'd be making a spot on my wall for him right now if I was you.
My guess by looking at the body would be a 4 year old. Very good genetics and if you could lay off, could blow up into an absolute stud!!!
The brisket is tight to his chest and his belly is as well. I am gonna guess he is around 2.5 to 3.5. Is this a preserve deer? Thats an awful nice set of head gear for a wild young deer.
I'm gonna say 4 with around 150-155. He looks really wide but still doesn't look to be a real old deer to me. let us know when you enter him in the contest.
Looks to me like a younger buck with good genetics. If he makes it one more year he will be a STUD. It'd be pretty hard to pass him up though.. great buck!
He looks young, but it is really hard to tell with him stretched out like that. From the characteristics I can see, I would say 3.5-4.5.
Yeah it's always hard for me to tell age this time of year until they start putting on weight again for winter.
