    Hi all:

If you could only sit in the afternoon have church at 7:00 p.m. How long would you sit? Had one at 18 yards yesterday but he busted me?

Not sure how it is for you early season but for me most deer don't move until late in the evening since it is so warm. If it was me I would hold off on the hunt tonight. Don't want to spook deer trying to leave before dark.

Well THAT's a no brainer - wait a couple days and get back in the stand.

A pastor brother of mine and I were hunting together one time and he forgot about a wedding and the wedding pics have him wearing camo paints under his vestments.

If you are being busted leaving early then you are only going to spoil that stand or location. Could eventually turn them more nocturnal too. I wouldn't move a muscle once it's prime time in early season. May be best to hunt other days and stick to what's most important for Sunday evenings. Something else to think about, what if you hit one and it doesn't go down within sight? You could be tracking for hours after a shot.

Did I mention that I am in an abandoned farmstead and they are combining the field next to it. And this is my only day to hunt for 5 days. Going on a hospital call at Mayo tomorrow.

Just knowing how things never go as I plan I would be reluctant to hunt knowing that a hit animal could turn into an all night tracking job. With warm weather like this a deer would spoil if you left it til the next day. They combining corn or beans? If corn that field will be good for a long time. If beans it isn't worth being nearby when they are combining and most bean fields I've hunted near after they are combined are worthless for the most part.

This ^^^ 5 days without hunting is always better than putting to much pressure on a farm and taking unnecessary chances .
