About time to post that thread up and put a sticky on it. I don't know if Rob has it or who, but it is always needed. Too many folks just do not have the experience yet, and will be thankful for the advice if they take heed to it. Remember, "When in doubt, BACK OUT." The deer will be just as dead if you come back 4 hrs later. So, anyway, post it up someone.
I agree this post helped me last year when I was tracking a poorly shot deer. I backed out and recovered later.
