Afraid of bears??

    Yeah, it's illegal and yeah Wildlife put an end to it...

    Feeding bears like that gets the bears killed. They are cute and curious when they are little, when they learn humans are a source of food it never ends well.

    And that's what happened to the bears apparently.

    It was just an old hermit living alone in the woods that thought he was doing good to the bears. He started off feeding two cubs, then it just grew from there.

    Then someone heard about it and posted a clip online. It was the beginning of the end...

    He'd been doing that for 7 years before the clip.

    Have saw it many times on a job I worked at. Some of the guys would throw some of their lunch out to the bears. Bears would equate humans to food. Bears become a nuisance and a danger to the people there and the ensuing conflicts result in DNR trapping and killing the bears. Not the bears fault but the stupid people.

    It's becoming an issue with Kentucky's increasing bear population. Fed bear = dead bear.
