    How do you change it?

It's a free market system that is producing the best healthcare in the world.

Most can't begin to comprehend the cost involved in a hospital. So much so that their profit margins are in line with the insurance companies. 3 1/2% is normal.

The truth is, the way to "control" it is by growing the economy and creating jobs so people get off the entitlement programs and can afford to provide for themselves and families.

All these programs, like obamacare just create an entitlement state that further drives the system into dependency and sink the economy in the process.

We need to change the direction of this country, NOW. We need a leader that encourages self importance, worth and confidence to rebuild this once great, independent country back to what it once was.

The U.S. does not have the best health care in the world. I think we rank somewhere in the top 20.

9 of the top 10 hospitals in the world are in the US. Something like 70% of the top 100

Many benefit from our advancements around the world.

Like you always say, many are taking advantage of the system free of charge that we pay for.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone had jobs and could afford insurance. Wouldn't that ""control" the cost if people were just working.

There will always be those that NEED help and if the country was a strong economy, the system could help them but the fact of the matter is right now this county is bankrupting itself on the not so needy.

That would be great but its not the real world. Look, I'm a male living in the USA and that means I'm going to statistically live to be about 80. I know there are people that work the system and I think you have that with any and everything. It's not my job to judge these people so I'm just going to keep paying my taxes and enjoying what time I have left here on this earth. They will have to stand tall and be judged some day but not by me. Right now I'm just thankful for every day that I have and every thing that I have. Worrying about things I can't control is a waste of my life.

Im not judging anyone. The fact is our economy is destroying this country and the entitlement system is doing more harm than good.

Entitlements keep people down, not lift them up.

I'm not saying to not help, especially the helpless. But when a system is set up to keep you in the system , it is going to fail.

It's automatically slanted because it includes things that we pay into. Such as SS and unemployment benefits.

Personally, I think SS should be privatized as well.

You got that right, I can get a better return by myself then I'll get from the gov. As far as I'm concerned anybody that brings unemployment and SS into a entitlement conversation only does it because they do not have a leg to stand on in the argument. AS WORKING PEOPLE WE PAY INTO SS SO IT CAN"T BE CLASSIFIED AS A WELFARE PROGRAM.

It is an entitlement on one front but it's also an insurance plan and retirement plan. If the government would keep their hands out of it, it could be self funded.

I was raised on SS so it's not like I don't understand a little about SS and entitlements. :D

My mother collected on my dad's SS after he passed away and never worked a day in her adult life and raised 2 kids by herself.

    There was also trust money.

My insurance has went up 25% since Obamacare was announced. The insurance companies sure aren't going to eat it. That means anyone who works for a small company, 50 employees and under eat it!
