    What doesn't get old.

    This is happening quite frequently.

I'm sure they will be "mandated" to accept the insurance soon enough.

SS may be helping elderly out of poverty but not because it's SS. It's because now many have a retirement plan where they didn't before. There are much better retirement plans available. As well as disability insurance. Imo, some will even grow the country and make it stronger.

I agree people don't research and inform themselves of the truths. Atleast learn enough to form an informed opinion. Right now there is something like 20% of the public that is trying to get informed. I also agree this is why we are in the situation we are in

Todd Co-Pays are banned under the law, the actual law is below

"Because of the Affordable Care Act, most preventive health visits, such as mammograms, flu shots and colonoscopies, no longer require a co-payment or co-insurance if a person's coverage began after the law passed in 2010"

His post is completely wrong. It's the fact they cannot CHARGE co-pays I believe.

Your completely wrong. I was just making a reference that you quotes stats as if they are gospel and cannot be questioned. My comments had absolutely nothing to do with the article you posted, but your blind faith in the numbers. Numbers cannot tell the whole story. You remind me of my supervisor. We have all sorts of Metrics and statistical analysis on how each of us are doing our jobs. However, it doesn't take into account how much time I spend helping others do their jobs, which artificially deflates my importance if you only look at the numbers, while increasing their importance even though I'm helping them achieve the numbers. Numbers cannot tell the whole story, if you do stats for a living, surely you understand that.

So if you agreed with the stat, you would have posted the same question correct about validity of the stats?

No I just deal with numbers, please leave me out of your issues at work:) I have my own.

What's this have to do with a primary care physician dropping exchange plans?

His post for the reason why is dead to nuts wrong, get the damn information right so we can make the correct call.

Like we will not expect Obamacare patients do to the fact we are loosing money on a visit being the amount payed does not cover our cost and we cannot charge co-pays.

Yes, statistical findings are always swayed. If you are being paid to do a statistical analysis by a company, it's more than likely your finding will sway in the directions of the view point of the person paying you to do the statistics.

Tfox is right in this one, Social security is not an entitlement and shouldn't even be considered in the findings because social security was supposed to be a savings account, money not allowed to be spent by the general fund, but the government stole that savings account from the people.

You don't know that was the only reason. They most likely told him what he posted as well.

70% for Obama. Interesting considering how much the feds are pumping into the market right now. I would consider this a false economy doomed for collapse.

Actually Gary, only the preventive type care may not have a co-pay. But, that is the case on many private plans now because a lot of preventive medicine was mandated as such a few years ago. Believe me, other treatment at the physicians office is subject to co-pays and deductibles. And, unless you buy the "Platinum" plan which is VERY expensive, you will have large deductibles and co-pays. I have looked at some of the plans on the exchange. They are not pretty. And they are not cheap, unless you qualify for a lot of subsidy through income level.
