What camera are you filming with, do you already have a fluid head and what is your budget?

I do not film yet, looking for a camera less than $400

I just use a Canon VIXIA HF R30 with a Velbon fluid head mounted on the Muddy Outfitter arm. I really like it although one day I do hope to upgrade my camera

I'm just using a Sony handycam dcr-sx85. It does ok but can't add any mics or remotes so hope to upgrade soon.

I use a muddy outfitter tree arm and sanford and davis fluid head.

Don't go crazy with the first setup. Get a decent camera and upgrade from there if you decide you like it. The canon vixia cameras are not bad. But you should be able to use a 250 camera to start. Play with it and figure out if you like it. If not you don't have a bunch invested. Good luck.
