Hey yall, where do you guys get updated aerial photos from? Every map I see online is old and outdated. I don't mind paying for one, I just don't know where to look. Google has been no help. "Live to hunt, Hunt to Live"
Those maps are all outdated. They show pics of over a year ago. I know this with 100% certainty. I need something recent. "Live to hunt, Hunt to Live"
For texas? TEXAS NATURAL RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEM https://tnris.org/ They are in the process of completing 0.5 meter aerial imagery for 2015.
I wish it did for me... The image of the area I'm scouting is at least a year old. Does me absolutely no good since the landscape has changed. "Live to hunt, Hunt to Live"
One year old is pretty good. If you want more recent one, just go to the local flying club and rent a small Cesna with someone looking to build flight hours... You'll get a very good view of your area and fresh pictures...
I did a Google Search trying to find some updated images of my area, but couldn't find anything. However, I stumbled across this site that has Vintage Aerial photos of farms and houses all across the country, and I was able to find the house I live in now, plus the house I grew up in and a few other farms that I hunt on. It was really neat to see what my place looked like in 1965 and how a lot of the old farm buildings are gone. Here's a link to the site: http://vintageaerial.com/photos Here's a link to the photo of the house I grew up in. The old big barn behind the house was not there when I lived in it and I'd never seen a photo of it until now (only the old foundation): http://vintageaerial.com/photos/maine/aroostook/1965/OAR/45/30
2009 for any Google street views around my house. Where I hunt there are no views other than the aerial Google Earth view. 3 miles or so out the dirt road past the state land there is a street view but it says it is property of the landowner.
I'd love to get up in the air and take some updated pics. The land has changed a lot in the past year and I'm looking for new areas. 1200 acres is a lot of ground to walk. Lol "Live to hunt, Hunt to Live"
