Anybody know where you could get big laminated aerial maps of a hunting area printed and sent to you? I want to get one that is around 4'x4' made. if you have what are your thoughts and a rough cost of the maps? Thanks for the input

Contact your county. I work for the county I hunt in and we have a large plotter that we can print wax ink on Tyvek so it's 100% waterproof. Pretty awesome setup.

I wanted a big wall map of my hunting area. I looked up the cost of the places that do it and my god are they expensive. I'm hoping to put one together on the computer and heading to fedex to get it printed.

I do not. I researched them pretty heavily though before I went on my Co. elk hunt. I would have gotten a couple, but I blew my trip budget before I could order them up :busted:

My local county has a large printer I can the size we are talking printing on decently thick paper. I plan on doing this for my new property and hang it up on a wall to label and track and highlight...

We have an industrial sized printer and a laminator at work so the map of my hunting property was about $8! It's ~ 4' x 4'. I use different colored dry erase markers to mark different things such as stands, cameras, mineral and deer sign. Works great. Also made a smaller one about 18" x 18" that I fold up and keep in my backpack.

Do you have a local print shop that does blue prints and such? We were able to email them a PDF and they printed a big one for us 3'x4' roughly. We didn't laminate it but they can.

i checked hunterra and they run from $130 for 15"x22" up to $300 for 40"x60" and that is for the poster map they have different options. May be looking into the Hunterra a bit more!!! being able to customize the map before they make it seems very interestin

being in bakken oil country makes the county a little harder and more expensive to get maps made like that sadly
