I have just gotten permission to hunt a new farm this year. I have yet to be able to make it out to the property but plan to this weekend. Can anyone give me some advice on what area I should focus on? For this year I am only going to put up one stand and trail camera. Appreciate any advice new farm 1.jpg

Happy to help but need a few things.
    A NWSE for pic
What will be in AG fields
What your preferances are ie... climber/ hang on/ ladder/ timber/ field edge etc

Without knowing anything like mentioned above, I'd start looking for sign at the funnels. That small strip between the fields is what catches my eye first and foremost.

Is that a little pond at the top? I would keep an eye on that, along with that small strip of trees at the bottom that connects the two pockets of woods. What do the surrounding properties look like? Are deer bedding in the woods in your property, or nearby? I don't hunt near too many AG fields so take this with a grain of salt, but that's where I would start.

I would like to use a ladder stand, and yes that is a pond. I will find out what's planted and more when I go to the property this weekend.

I agree with what is mostly being said here. Also inside corners of ag fields are usually good spots.
